The first seven years of Kellie’s life were pretty rough. (Just ask Natalie — she watched “Big Bird Goes to Japan” a million times while Mom was busy taking care of her) Kellie had bronchial pneumonia, multiple respiratory and ear infections, and then asthma. At one point she was on seven medications, having daily nebulizer treatments, wasn’t growing, missed an entire month of school and was needing periodic trips to the emergency room. I felt there was a black cloud over our home. Fortunately, through lots of prayer and help from doctors and others, we got through it. We never knew when she would have a flare up, so we had to be prepared with medical supplies.
