The Needing Spot

Sometimes we think we couldn’t possibly be good parents because we make mistakes. Or because so much of the time, it’s just so hard.

Sometimes I yell. I feel like I’m losing my mind-and my temper.

I have no idea what to do for Sam.

I never say the right thing.

Or how you calmed that scraped up toddler or angsty teenager with your touch and that big mama heart of yours? Well, I saw it. I see you. Take note, sister. You are remarkable.”

Now isn’t that crazy.  In an effort to help ease the holiday stress, this month’s health challenge is to take time every day to meditate.  Meditation has a long list of benefits, but one that is always at the top of the list is the…

11 Best Family Games

October 27, 2014

For the last couple of years, we’ve had a Fall Break tradition that I’m really (REALLY) missing right now. We’d drive down to St. George and meet up with some of our favorite people for a few days to mostly do two things: eat good food (SEA SALT CARAMEL TRUFFLE ICE CREAM!!) and play games….

October 23, 2014

What are you sending your missionary for Christmas? One friend is mailing her son in Ghana a soft roll of toilet paper (among other things, haha).
