It has been a whirlwind six weeks around these parts.
Three babies, two moves, and one sweet homecoming of our favorite (only!-but he would still be our favorite) brother from a two-year mission to Hungary.
So. Yeah. We’re tired.
But more than tired, we’re feeling abundantly blessed. All over again, we believe in miracles. We believe in family. We believe in the goodness of a God who knows us, loves us, and helps us.
We also believe that motherhood and family life is a lot about trying. And that we all “try” differently.
One of my favorite things about having a baby within a few weeks of my sisters having babies is watching them and listening to them and learning from them. Some of our mama struggles are the same (is anyone getting enough sleep?!), some of them are different. Sometimes we try the same solution to our common challenges, and sometimes we have totally separate approaches.
Something we’re all trying right now is the SwaddleMe from Summer Infant. It did wonders for my first baby-the jury is still out on whether or not this little lady is going to take to it. She’s a bit of a thumb whole-fist-sucker, so having her arms by her side is not her favorite thing but she seems to sleep a lot more soundly when swaddled.
There’s a lot to love about the Swaddle Me. My personal favorite is that velcro is way easier at 3am than a blanket and a squirming baby. I don’t have to think about it-which is a good thing for all of us at 3am.
Most of all, we just wanted to share this little update. They’re all here and we couldn’t be more excited!
